I've hit the "still pregnant" stage. I'm full-term on Friday.

I have four days left of scheduled work and then a bunch of unscheduled work, including an abstract to submit for AAPT this summer and some curricula to write for the end of the semester.

Group B strep test on Monday. Let's hope I'm negative. I'd rather stay away from IV antibiotics.

Fingers crossed for the Strep-B test. I was positive, but in the end my labour went so quickly that the fact I was wired up to an IV really didn't matter.

I went to put some stuff in the mail to you yesterday, but the Post Office was shut, so it'll be going off tomorrow.

I got your stuff! Thanks so much! I sent you a card, but I don't think it'll be there yet.

Good luck w/ GBS. FYI, my last doula client was GBS + and it wasn't too awful... the only real problem she had was that the hospital wanted her to come in really early to run the IV. That meant more time at the boring old hospital. The IV itself is a pain more than anything because your partner has to roll it around for you and keep it from getting stuck. But it didn't stop her from being able to move around or get in the tub.

My cousin was GBS- at her test but when she went into the hospital they did a urine sample and found it in her pee so she had to have the IV anyway. Bah!
